Lean Product Discovery
Asia-Pacific, Middle East & Africa
Course 4 of 6
This fall, build the product management skills the AI era and your next job demand
The Lean Product Discovery course teaches teams to find out what customers actually need before committing to a build, using the Lean Product Canvas to work through the full discovery process on real initiatives. This is the fourth course in a six-part sequence:
- Lean Product Strategy
- Objectives and Key Results
- Lean Product Management
- Lean Product Discovery
- Storytelling Superpowers for Persuasive Conversations
- Building AI Products with Lean Product Management
This course delivers real, usable skills and value entirely on its own, but the full sequence is where the real transformation happens. Each course builds on the last, so we recommend completing all six for the most comprehensive set of AI-era product skills. Whichever path you choose, complete the course and pass a short assessment to unlock a certification you can showcase on LinkedIn and beyond.
These classes have been created by Jeff Gothelf and Josh Seiden, award-winning authors and recognized design and product thought leaders, who wrote the books Lean UX, Outcomes Over Output, and Who Does What By How Much?, the OKR playbook.

Additional Information
What problem does this course address?
Most teams build what they think customers need. They're often wrong. This is especially true for AI teams, which often have strong technical skills but lack the product methods to check whether their work creates real value for customers. Product, design, and engineering frequently work in silos with no shared framework, and teams commit to solutions before testing whether they're solving the right problem. This course teaches teams to find out what customers actually need before committing to a build.
Why this course, and why now?
Using the Lean Product Canvas as a shared framework, participants work through the full discovery process on their real initiatives: from defining the business problem, to mapping Outcomes, to generating and testing solution Hypotheses. Every exercise uses the team's own work, so participants leave with new skills and real progress, not just theory. This is where the strategy and goals from earlier courses in the sequence get pressure-tested against real customer evidence.
Who is this training for?
- Cross-functional product teams, including product managers, designers, engineers, and researchers
- AI labs and technical teams that need to add product discovery to their practice
- Teams that build impressive technology but skip the step of checking whether it's useful to customers
What will happen in class?
This workshop is limited to 25 participants. Through hands-on exercises using your own real work, you'll define a clear business problem, map user Outcomes, write and prioritize Hypotheses, and design experiments to test your Assumptions before building. Each session builds on the last, creating accountability and meaningful peer connections through shared learning experiences.

✅ Map user Outcomes and identify the behaviors that signal success
✅ Write and prioritize product Hypotheses
✅ Design experiments to test Assumptions before building
✅ Build an outcome-based roadmap that connects strategy to delivery
✅ Conduct lightweight customer research to validate Assumptions early
What makes this training different?

We use an interactive approach that mixes videos, short lectures, large group discussions, breakout sessions, exercises and interactive debate to ensure your questions are addressed with relevant answers to you.
