Mending Methods and Techniques

Join us for a 2.5-hour hands-on workshop where you’ll dive into the world of visible and invisible mending, learn time-honored techniques, and get the confidence to tackle any repair project with style. Whether you’re patching denim, darning knits, or reviving old favorites, this class will help you choose the perfect method for your piece and have fun doing it.

What to bring:

• 1-3 mending projects of your choice. These can be anything from a lost button to a sock with a hole or even something precious that you'd like to restore to its original condition.
• Optional -- supplies such as thread, embroidery thread, needles, darning eggs etc. We will also have some items to borrow and others available for sale with a 10% discount.

Workshop includes:

• An overview of the 3 basic methods of mending and common tools; sewing, darning (woven and swiss), patching. We'll discuss both visible and invisible approaches to each of these methods.
• Direct instruction on selecting a mending method for 1-3 items of your choice
• Access to a selection of mending tools with a 10% discount
• 1 Drink ticket for one of the amazing mocktails or cocktails that Meander has to offer
