Experimental Laboratory for the City of the Future

Explore the premises of the former US Army hotel at the historic Tempelhof Airport (directly at Platz der Luftbrücke) which have opened for the first time in over 25 years. Experience our interactive exhibition that showcases all facets of urban technologies and get hands-on in our workshop which will be exclusively opened to host a digital playground. Come and explore games for the playground of the future, e.g. our brand-new LED Carrera racetrack or a life-size hot wire game. Our charming hosts will give useful insights into the world of digital education and also invite you to build something from scratch. We are using plastic waste to create pretty cool upcycled jewelry! What are you waiting for – be part of it!

Guided tours through the exhibition: 5.30-6pm and 6.30-7pm

At CityLAB Berlin, representatives from government, civil society, academia and start-ups collaboratively develop new ideas for how to both ensure and enhance the livability of Berlin as a city. The CityLAB combines elements of a digital workshop, a co-working space and event space into a single location where participation and innovation are jointly pursued. It is operated by the Technology Foundation Berlin in cooperation with the Senate Chancellery of Berlin.
