We are excited to kick off the first OSCON Contribute event with Hoodie!

The timing couldn’t be more perfect. Hoodie’s Camp Release is out after 15+ months of intensive work. There is lots of work left on known issues, improvements, documentation, tutorials, writing, UX design …

We will prepare a list of Starter Issues to assure a fantastic experience – no matter if you ever contributed to Open Source before or if you want to contribute Code, Design, Documentation or Writing.

Please get a free ticket if you plan to come. It's not required of course but it helps us planning the event :)

Camp Release, what’s that? We call it the Camp Release for two reasons:

• It’s helluva fun to be part of it!
  Yes, it’s not super comfortable, things might break – there is always something to do :)
• It’s about you!
  You can build apps with the new Hoodie – but the experiences of our contributor first is our priority!

How have we provide the nicest possible experience for contributors?

• Small, well-tested and documented modules
  No need to understand Hoodie’s entire architecture to start contributing.

• Minimal requirements
  just git clone, npm install and npm test.

• New versions get released minutes after your pull request get merged
  everything is automated with semantic-release and Greenkeeper

• Into Writing, Design, Documentation? So are we!
  All kind of contributions are equally important! Our animal mascots agree! 🐶

• We aim to be Open Source’s most diverse and inclusive community
  We would love to learn how we can make Open Source and its communities accessible to everyone!
