Open Book

The Youth SIG’s Open Book event is an open platform for youths in the Internet Governance space to express their views on varying topics within the context of the IGF 2020 and the Internet Society’s focus areas: Data, Trust, Inclusion, Environment, Community Networks and Encryption.

This event will bring together varying perspectives and regional contexts of youths globally througha book reading session, where feedback will be compiled on various topics and diverse opinions will be explored.An Open book containing a short background on the topic and a section where participants answer questions on the various topics; e.g How does an issue apply specifically in your regional context? What do you think are the responsibilities of youth in addressing these issues?

The event outcome will be in the format of a regional youth “call for action” documents, combining the recommendations/opinions of youth based on their different regional perspectives. This event is brought to you thanks to the collaboration with the Youth Coalition on Internet Governance (YCIG) and Youth4IG.
