Instructors

  • Tim Ruffles: Tim writes Node.js & Angular for British Gas, along with Node, Elixir and Angular for his startup SidekickJS. He has taught for General Assembly, EventHandler and Decoded, and speaks regularly at international conferences. Passionate about open source, Tim maintains the Javascript guide at JavaScript-Garden, and contributes to a range of projects.

  • Nuno Job: Nuno was the Chief Commercial Officer at Nodejitsu where he was responsible for all customer engagements and the worlds largest Node.js cloud. Hacker at heart, open-source enthusiast, you might have heard him on the NodeUp podcast or used one of his open source npm modules.

Who is this for?

This workshop is aimed at software engineers and entrepreneurs that want to learn more about full stack programming. You should have some experience coding for the web, and be able to write HTML and some basic JavaScript. This workshop is particularly well suited for people experience in Ruby on Rails, PHP, Java, .NET, etc, that want to learn to code for the web.

BYOD

Don't forget to bring your laptop, ideally with Node.js installed. Internet is great at the venue, so that should be no problem
