Session Abstracts

18:30 - Caching is only the start, time to add the next shiny thing

. In this talk of two halves, Hazelcast's Neil Stevenson will review the popular open-source in-memory technology Hazelcast.

In fact, we'll see that using in-memory techniques only for caching is legacy thinking, and instead, we shall see why and how to view it more productively. So really this will be a talk about data grids, how you connect them to legacy and modern applications, deploy them in the cloud, and get them to provide real value.

Football and cats may make an appearance, in addition to some Java code, you can download to try for yourself.
