Evening of Folk Music at The Holloway
We’ve got a jam-packed lineup for you this December. We’ll be experiencing a brand new venue, The Holloway, with some of the finest singer-songwriters and musicians Norwich has to offer!
Abi Harold
Abi Harold usually can be found singing in local girl band ‘Murmurations’. When she’s not flying with her birds, she’s drawing or writing songs—of faith and growth, her imaginary world and the one we live in. Abi writes on acoustic guitar, Irish bouzouki, and occasionally, the harmonium. She loves being a part of this incredibly diverse and supportive Norwich music scene.
Peter Turrell
Peter Turrell has established a reputation as one of the city’s finest classical guitarists, specializing in Spanish, Baroque, and South American music. He's an integral part of the Norwich music scene, as well as a veteran busker, whose music has become as much a fixture of the city as any building.
Pedro Danger
Pedro is a Norwich flâneur equipped with a guitar who will play you a warm welcome into St Benedict’s exciting new venue. This is a performance to catch, especially for fans of Paul Simon, Jack Kerouac, and Jeff Buckley.
Maple Ward
With a voice that carries the weight of experience beyond her years, Maple Ward crafts songs that bravely delve into the depths of human emotion. Her lyrical themes explore love, loss and growth with raw vulnerability.
Based in Norwich, Maple has taken her acoustic folk sound across East Anglia. She has graced various stages, including slots at Latitude and the Norfolk and Norwich Festival. Maple's honest storytelling is showcased in her debut E.P., ‘Power to Grow,’ which is released at the end of November.
Nia Cain
Nia Cain is an indie musician based in Norwich, blending thoughtful lyrics with rich, vocal-driven melodies. Influenced by the likes of Leonard Cohen, Hozier, and a childhood love of folk and jazz, their music is honest and heartfelt. When not performing, Nia enjoys exploring the Norfolk countryside for inspiration with their dog, Obi.
Jim Holland
Jim Holland is a singer-songwriter, blending English and American folk revival. He combines intricate fingerstyle guitar with thoughtful lyrics about everything from loss to deforestation. Taking inspiration from ’60s and ’70s greats, as well as early train blues, Jim’s lyrical approach to songwriting has been likened to Bob Dylan and Paul Simon.
Tickets will be £7 on the door, however numbers are limited. Please book in advance to guarantee entry.
