Contemplative Creativity Course

Wednesday 3rd | 10th | 17th | 24th Nov | 2nd Dec | 7.30 - 9pm

If you have ever pondered on any of the questions or themes below, then this course is for you....

Why beauty matters in the Kingdom of God…

What is the relationship between worship and art?

How are prayer & art connected?

How do we live lives that reflect the beauty of the Lord?

Why the Church & Culture needs Artists following the way of Jesus

As part of this course you will be led through some simple creative practices that combine drawing with spiritual disciplines and ancient Christian tradition. All are welcome and there is no need to be an ‘artist’ to join this course or have any previous experience in drawing. The hope is to open ourselves to the Holy Spirit in an intuitive manner and along the way re-discover the beauty and mystery of Jesus - the one and only true Artist.

Our time will be spent with teaching, discussion, prayer and creative practice journeying through the scriptures looking at how beauty and creative expression of the heart are defining elements of true worship.

Over the five sessions we will explore a theology of Beauty in:

The Garden: Rest & Wonder | The Psalms: Praise & Presence | The Manger: Divinity & Humanity | The Grave: Death & Suffering | The Table: Resurrection & New Creation

We would love you to join us, if you are interested in coming along, please book your ticket below.
