UKA Aikido Summer School 2026

We’re excited to announce our annual UKA Summer School, featuring guest instructor Eiji Katsurada Shihan, 7th Dan from Hombu Dojo, alongside senior UKA instructors.

This year we return to Nottingham University, now with upgraded accommodation at Florence Boot Hall and a full programme including training, accommodation, merchandise, and evening meals on Thursday and Saturday. For those who want a head start, optional Wednesday night accommodation is also available.

Summer School is open to everyone — all organisations, grades, clubs and levels of experience. Whether you want extra practice, are preparing for your next grading, or simply want to train with new people, this is the perfect environment. Last year, over a third of attendees were kyu grades, making it a friendly, social, and supportive place to grow your Aikido.

You’ll enjoy:
* World‑class instruction from Hombu and UKA teachers

* A welcoming community with students from clubs across the country

* High‑quality accommodation on a beautiful university campus

* A fun, social atmosphere with evening meals and time to connect

* A focused training environment to sharpen your skills and confidence
