UC Carpentries Fall 2021 Workshop Series
Do you want to learn how to make your data tidy, and keep it that way? How about automating tasks with Bash scripting? UC San Diego, UC Riverside, UC Los Angeles, and UC Berkeley have put together two weeks of Carpentries workshops.
Software Carpentry workshops aim to help researchers get their work done in less time and with less pain by teaching them basic research computing skills. This hands-on workshop series will cover basic concepts and tools, including program design, version control, data management, and task automation. Participants will be encouraged to help one another and to apply what they have learned to their own research problems.
This Software Carpentry workshop series is for University of California faculty, graduate students, post-docs, researchers, and other staff. The workshops series is designed for novices and you do not need to have any previous knowledge of the tools that will be presented at the workshop.
The workshop will be held virtually on September 13-22, 2021 from 9:00am - 1:00pm
Note: ** The R and Python workshops are 2 day, 2 part series and **will be taught concurrently on the same days 9/20 & 9/21. Please *select only 1 workshop series * (R or Python) you plan to attend.
