Additional Information

Professor Sinéad Roden, Director of Postgraduate Teaching and Learning, will present the MBA master class on: ‘Blockchain: A Game Changer or a Passing Fad?’

Blockchain was originally devised for the digital currency, Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency. Bitcoin has been called “digital gold,” and for a good reason. To date, the total value of the currency is close to $9 billion. With 2017 we saw some sectors cautiously adopt Blockchain technology. 2015 was the year of hype, 2016 - the prototype. What does 2018 hold?

We explore the capabilities and opportunities presented by Blockchain. From diamonds to drugs, it offers security and control around information, product and financial flows across industry sectors. Can Blockchain deliver on what it promises?
