You're too late! This class is sold out...but there will be more. Sign up below to be the first to know about the next one, and to get a 10% discount.

Learn everything you need to know about Object-Oriented Programming in three days of hands-on practice.

This course is taught by Sandi Metz, author of Practical Object-Oriented Design in Ruby (http://poodr.com), and Katrina Owen, Refactorer Extraordinaire (http://bit.ly/therapeutic_refactoring).

Using guided exercises, we'll demystify time-tested OO techniques. You'll write code, learn to recognize and solve common OO problems...and return home to save money each time you put your hands on the keyboard.

Join us in Durham in March and change the way you think about objects. Your code will never be the same.

Location

The course is in downtown Durham, NC (http://bit.ly/durham_downtown) in the beautifully renovated MDC center (http://bit.ly/MDC_space). According to the New York Times (http://bit.ly/NYT_durham) Big Tobacco is dead but Durham is the new cool.

Lodging

The Marriott City Center (http://bit.ly/Marriott_City_Center) is the closest hotel, a 3 minute walk from the MDC center. Expect to pay $170 and up a night.

Duke Tower (http://duketower.com/) is slightly farther (.8 mile), but still within walking distance for those so inclined. Their 'premium' rate is around $100 a night and they'll shuttle you to downtown for $5. Duke Tower consists of one bedroom suites and is a more spacious option for those who'd like to share accommodations.

Transportation

Fly into Raleigh-Durham Airport (RDU). Taxi fare to downtown is around $30. If you stay downtown you will not need a car.

Food

Bon Appetit magazine describes Durham as the 'Foodiest Small Town In America'. Restaurants in Durham range from the sublime to the extremely local (http://dameschickenwaffles.com/). We'll provide breakfast, lunch and snacks, and you'll be on your own to explore for dinner.
