How can community groups push for Right to Repair in the UK?

The last few years have been really exciting for repair, with people in many countries getting access to more repairable and longer lasting products, cheaper repair options and better information about product repairability.

And now in the UK, we have the opportunity to put repair back on the agenda too!

Join us to hear about inspiring examples of how Right to Repair movements are making repair accessible to people across Europe and the USA, as well as the latest developments and opportunities here in the UK, including a current consultation on waste electronic & electrical equipment (and more).

We'll also cover how your local repair community can make its voice heard and be part of this great repair revival.

Additional Information

In this free, one-hour webinar, we'll cover:

  • Why repairing our stuff matters and why it's not as easy or as cheap as it could be
  • How Right to Repair measures are already making repair more accessible to millions of people in Europe and the USA.
  • How we can also make a real difference here in the UK through local community action!

Who should attend: This session is intended for anyone involved in community repair (such as Repair Cafés), including organisers and repairers. But anyone interested in putting repair on the political agenda in the UK is welcome too, such as repair business owners, MPs, campaigners and those passionate about the Right to Repair.

Please note that we won't cover how to start a new repair cafe or community repair group.

We will leave plenty of time for questions at the end.

Note: this webinar will be recorded.

This webinar is being organised by members of the Community Repair Network (Share (Portsmouth) and The Restart Project) and Team Repair.
