Electronics skillshare - Barking
This event is a skillshare, where we will be learning new skills together. We won't be repairing broken items. You must book a ticket to attend as there is limited space.
Restart Parties are pop-up events where we take action to prevent e-waste by helping people fix their own electronics. We rely on volunteers to help make this magic happen.
Do you have some basic fixing skills that you’d like to develop? Together we will be learning how to repair the most common items brought into community repair events.
These sessions are completely free, all we ask is that you attend your next local repair event as a volunteer.
The Restart Project and East London Waste Authority are running a series of skillshares for electronic repairers of all skill levels. The second session is on:
Sunday 25 February 2025 11am-2pm
Barking Learning Centre, 2 Town Square Barking Learning Centre, Barking IG11 7NB
This skillshare is designed for those who would like to start volunteering their skills at repair events but don't know where to start.
You will be working in groups to troubleshoot and repair the most common electrical and electronic items brought to repair events, with the support of Restarters who will be on hand to help you when you get stuck.
These sessions are completely free, all we ask is that you attend your next local repair event as a volunteer.
