Ages: 12 - 18 (If your child is 12 you are required to attend)
Cost: $250 (Which includes the RaspberryPi that the student will keep)
Great basic programming class with applications in everyone's favorite game, Minecraft! Students will learn Python, an easy-to learn, high-level computer language. We will be programming on the RaspberryPi, a small inexpensive computer that is about the size of a credit card.

Students will put their new skills to use on the computer game Minecraft, creating re-usable buildings, transporting their player in three-dimensional space, and automatically generating a bridge as to walk over water. Using the popular game Minecraft allows students to apply their new skill in programming to something that they can already relate to.
By using the RaspberryPi, the students will have a full computer with development environment that they can take home with and hack on between classes. Just plug up a computer monitor or TV with HDMI input, mouse, keyboard and you are ready to go. Each students will be given a RaspberryPi on day one of class. This awesome, multi-purpose unit is the student's to keep!
