2018 Galway Annual Dinner

Guest speakers for this year's event will be Cyril Farrell and Micheál Donoghue - successful Galway Hurling Managers, past and present, with additional entertainment provided by impressionist Shane Cunningham.

Cyril Farrell

Cyril Farrell Cyril Farrell was the manager of the Galway senior hurling team on three separate occasions, where he became the county's longest-serving manager and most successful in terms of major titles won. Farrell is regarded as one of the greatest managers in the history of the modern game and regularly appears as a hurling pundit on RTÉ's The Sunday Game.

Micheál Donoghue

Micheál Donoghue Micheál Donoghue is the current Galway senior hurling team manager. His charges brought the Liam McCarthy Cup back to Galway in September 2017 after a 29-year wait. He was also involved with the Galway Under 21 hurling team that won the All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship in 2005 and 2007. In 2010, Donoghue became Clarinbridge manager, guiding them to their second ever county title in the 2010 final and going on to win the 2011 All Ireland Club title

Shane Cunningham

Shane Cunningham Shane Cunningham is a 22-year-old award winning Impressionist and Entertainer, often referred to as “Ireland’s next Mario Rosenstock”. He has enjoyed national success having featured on TV3’s “Ireland AM” and being heard many times on RTÉ Radio One with Joe Duffy’s “Funny Friday”. He currently produces “Molly in the MORNING” on Galway Bay FM.
