
Feral Mouth + Jim Holland
Feral Mouth are an alternative country and bluegrass string band from Norwich, Norfolk. Formed in 2009 they have released two albums 'Olympus Chympus' and 'Nelson's County' and have been a regular fixture on the UK festival circuit over the last 15 years, including multiple performances at Latitude, Boomtown and Secret Garden Party. Made up of guitar, cello, banjo, mandolin and double bass, their music mixes first, second and third generation bluegrass influences with grunge, rock n roll and contemporary alt country. Americana UK magazine described their music as "Raucous irresistible bluegrass with rock n roll flair". Jim Holland is a singer-songwriter, blending English and American folk revival. He combines intricate fingerstyle guitar with thoughtful lyrics about everything from loss to deforestation. Taking inspiration from ’60s and ’70s greats, as well as early train blues, Jim’s lyrical approach to songwriting has been likened to Bob Dylan and Paul Simon.
