Tom Lyons

Tom Lyons | Tom Lyons Chief Executive of The Currency

Tom Lyons is Chief Executive of The Currency and one of Ireland’s most decorated journalists, winning a string of awards and accolades for his coverage of Irish business and finance over the past two decades. Tom worked with The Sunday Business Post for four years, serving as deputy editor and then as executive editor. In these roles, he was crucial to the revival of the newspaper, both commercially and editorially. He is the co-author of two bestselling books - The Fitzpatrick Tapes and Fingers, and a presenter of Inside Irish Nationwide - a full-length television documentary. He has been named Ireland’s Business & Economics Journalist of the Year on three separate occasions.



Shane Bourke

Shane Bourke is the co-founder and CEO of Clearspace, a Dublin-based provider of fully managed serviced office spaces, specialising in flexible, design-led work environments for modern businesses. Founded in 2019, the company operates across multiple prime Dublin city locations, offering private offices, meeting rooms and tailored workspace solutions for startups, SMEs and established firms. Shane began his career in London’s emerging flexible workspace sector before returning to Ireland in 2018 to launch Clearspace, which has now grown to 20 business centres across Dublin’s city centre.


Brian Donaldson

Brian Donaldson has served as Chief Executive of The Maxol Group since 2016, having previously held the role of Chief Operating Officer. During more than 40 years with the McMullan family business, he has played a key role in developing Maxol’s all-Ireland network of over 240 service stations. Brian has held numerous leadership positions, including Chair of Plato Belfast, Co-Chair of Efficient Consumer Response Ireland, Chairman of Retail Ireland, and Chair of the Irish Petroleum Industry Association. He currently serves as Chair of CBI Northern Ireland and its Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Working Group. In 2024, he received the NACS European Leader of the Year Award.
