The event will begin with a welcome address, followed by an introduction to the Amazon and Workday's Black Networks. An overview of Black History Month's history will be given, focusing on its significance.
Food and drinks will be provided at this time.
Attendees will participate in a hands-on quiz. This will demonstrate how to use Party Rock to help create a quiz app, showing how giving the right information and direction is key in to your final product.
Lais Carvalho, Software Developer at Workday, will explore the Journey of (AI) Bias in society. It will take attendees through understanding human bias and how it percolates to Machine Learning models we use everyday.
Lydia L.R. Ray, AWS Senior Solutions Architect will deliver a talk on the rapid growth of generative AI and the emerging challenges surrounding responsible development and use of this technology. It will explore key challenges, best practices, and tools for using AI safely and responsibly. The session will also explore responsible AI from the lens of inclusion, diversity, and equity (ID&E).
The session will include a fireside chat on Responsible AI, with the following distinguished speakers: Lydia Ray, Adebola Olomo, CEO of Deefrent and Marketing Technology Consultant, and Lais Carvalho.
