Additional Information

While many startups are looking towards the US and Silicon Valley, huge market opportunities lie to the East. India, China, and several South East Asian countries are among the most vibrant and fastest growing economies globally. Their populations are young, educated and digital natives.

Not only that - startup hubs are popping up in various cities of the region. Join us on the journey to discover the startup ecosystems of this region and to get first-hand insights about doing business there.

Agenda:

  • Travel with us to these Asian hubs as we present our experiences from the Startup AsiaBerlin delegation trips as well as discuss findings, facts and figures on the region from our "Startup Friendliness Index", the Startup Meter. (7.30 pm - 8.00 pm)

  • Join us for several short "fireside bowls" where we chat with founders about their failing and scaling experiences in China, Singapore and Malaysia... (8.00 pm - 9.30 pm)

speakers:

Linda Preil is the Head of rubber projects at einhorn products GmbH and in charge of rubber projects in Asia.

Brian & Fan - Brian Sloan is American but built his first company in China where his products were manufactured. He is the CEO of Very Intelligent Ecommerce Inc. Fan Yuan supports the startup Caspar Health to internationalize to China.

Shoba Purushothaman is co-founder of hardskills, a digital learning platform based out of Singapore & Berlin.
