PHP - Object Orientated Programming
On Thursday 13th March, [Lorna Mitchell] (Permalink: http://tcubedublin.com/lorna-jane-mitchell/ will star her first PHP Workshop in TCube.
This course is for PHP developers looking to increase the depth of their understanding of the PHP language by learning more about object oriented programming. We will cover both the syntax (the "how") and the concepts (the "why2), illustrating each point code samples and practical applications of its use. We will cover the basics of classes, objects and inheritance, then move on to look at some of the newer features in PHP's object model including interfaces and traits.
Using these skills we will move on to look at examples of design patterns, and cover how these architectural principles can be applied to your applications to make them more robust and testable.
Requirements: You will need previous experience of PHP and have some awareness of OOP in order to get the benefit of this course. Please bring a laptop with a working PHP 5.4+ platform already set up, or with Virtualbox installed and a VM will be available.
