TCD Association Cambridge Chapter – Autumn Event 2019
This year's annual TCDACB Autumn Event will take place on Saturday 26th October at Selwyn College, Cambridge and will feature a talk by H.E. Adrian O'Neill, Ambassador of Ireland to the UK, on "Brexit, an Irish Perspective".
12 noon – Drinks Reception in the College Bar (cash bar)
12.45 – Lunch in the New Senior Common Room
13.45 – AGM of the TCD Association Cambridge in the Chadwick Room
14.15 – Talk by Ambassador Adrian O'Neill in the Chadwick Room, followed by questions
Tickets are £35.00 per person, which includes a two-course meal and tea/coffee (drinks available at the cash bar). Guests are welcome; full-time students and post-grads will receive a £10 discount.

About our Speaker, HE Ambassador Adrian O'Neill
After graduating from TCD (B.A. Mod. Honours) in 1983, Adrian O’Neill entered the world of international diplomacy, first at the Irish Embassy in Madrid. Just a decade later, he was promoted from Vice Consul in Boston USA to First Secretary at the Washington DC Embassy.
Amongst other posts, he has been Secretary General to former Irish President Mary McAleese and current President Michael D. Higgins and Second Secretary General, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (Ireland, UK and Americas Division). In September 2017 he was appointed 17th Ambassador of Ireland to the United Kingdom.
Taking up his diplomatic duties in such a crucial period in both countries’ futures, he is in a unique position to provide an insight into this developing drama.
