Walking Tour of Occupied Paris with TCD Alumni Society

This October, join fellow TCD alumni and friends for a private walking tour and an intimate encounter with occupied Paris (1940-44)!

The TCD Alumni Society of Paris invites you to join Brad Newfield, a Franco-American guide with Paris Walks, as we learn how the Parisians survived the dark dark years of the Nazi Occupation. Walk around the areas of rue St. Honoré, the Place de la Concorde and the Champs Elysées and hear stories of daily life, the Gestapo, the Resistance, and the Liberation.  The tour commences from Metro Tuilerie, Paris 1er at 2.00pm on Sunday 21st October and will last two hours. Afterwards, stay on with us for a strong cup of tea as we begin to see Paris through new eyes. Tickets only cost €10/person and must be brought in advance online via link below.

Our tour guide Brad Newfield is a former Angelino who has lived in Paris since 1994. He has a Ph.D. in History from UCLA, lectured in History and Communication Studies, and develops walking tours on historical themes in Paris in order to bring together the city's past and present in non-traditional ways.
