TCD Alumni North of England Branch Autumn Excursion

Would you like to find out more about Liverpool's rich maritime history over the past 300 years? Are you interested in seeing at the experiences of different people on the Titanic? Would you like to discover the untold stories of Britain's Black Seafarers?

Join the TCD Alumni North of England Branch for their next Alumni Event (rescheduled from March 2018), a visit to Liverpool's International Slavery Museum and the Merseyside Maritime Museum with a guided tour, followed by lunch.

After lunch, there is the option to visit the Tate Museum or the terracotta warriors exhibition now on at the World Museum on William Brown St, Liverpool (booking ahead to see the warriors is essential – ph. 0151 478 4444).

Entry to the Maritime Museum, Slavery Museum and the Tate is free. Lunch (eg, soup + sandwich £6.95) and parking (eg, £10 for 5 hours in Albert Dock car park) are at your own expense, as is the terracotta army exhibit should you choose to go (£13 concession, £14.50 full price).

11.15am – Meet in the foyer of the museums for a guided tour by Harvey Cox
1.00pm – Lunch in the Maritime dining room on the 4th floor with stunning views of the Albert Dock
2.15pm – Enjoy more of what the museum has to offer
3.30pm – Optional visit to Tate Liverpool OR the terracotta warriors exhibition at the World Museum
