The TCD North of England Alumni Branch invites graduates and their guests to join them at their annual dinner this May.

Date: Saturday 9th May

Time: 7.30pm with 8.00pm call to dinner

Venue: Ringway Golf Club, Hale Road, Hale Barns, Altrincham, Cheshire WA15 8SW

Cost per person: £35.00

The evening's guest speaker will be Professor Gerald McHugh, Dean of Development at Trinity and Associate Professor in the Trinity Business School. With 2019 being such a big year for the Business School, with the opening of the new award-winning, state-of-the-art business school building in May and the Business School placing in the FT top 1% of Business Schools in the world, the Chapter is delighted to welcome Professor McHugh.

Ringway Golf Club is a lovely location, just five minute's drive from the M56, Junction 7. Free car parking is available directly outside the venue, within the golf club. There is a lift to the first floor for ease of access. Dress code is smart casual.

About our Speaker

Gerard McHugh is Associate Professor in Accounting at Trinity Business School. He qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant with Deloitte, earned his M.A. and Ph.D from the Universities of Sheffield and Loughborough respectively and has taught for many years at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He is the author of several books, and his research has been published in multiple journals and reviews.

In 2015, Gerard was appointed Trinity College's Dean of Development where he works with the Provost and Trinity Development & Alumni on all matters related to the College's philanthropic engagement. Gerard serves on the international Faculty of Assessors for the Association of MBAs. He chairs the Professional Standards Committee of the Insurance Institute of Ireland and in that capacity is also a member of the Institute's Board of Directors.
