A Trinity Evening in Berlin

Join us at the Irish Embassy in Berlin this September as we gather our alumni and friends together for an evening celebrating Trinity’s history, community and German connections!

This year, Trinity marks 250 Years of Modern Languages at Trinity. Did you know that the German and French Chairs at Trinity are the oldest continuous modern languages chairs anywhere in the world? Professor Mary Cosgrove, 1776 Professor of German at Trinity, will join us on the night to share the incredible story of languages at Trinity – from its national and international historical context to the legacy of these Chairs for generations of Irish people and friends of Ireland in Germany, Europe and around world.

Afterwards, there will be a networking reception with wine and refreshments. We’re looking forward to a fantastic evening exploring the links between Ireland and Germany, celebrating Trinity’s role in furthering connections between the two countries and reconnecting with fellow graduates in the Berlin alumni community.

Doors will open at 6.00pm with the programme to begin at 6.30pm.This free event is open to all Trinity alumni and friends, but spaces are limited, so we encourage you to register today. Please note that advance registration is required to gain entry.

We look forward to seeing you there and sharing this great evening together!
