First Aid at Events - how do we know we are covered?

This half-day seminar will feature a keynote address from Dave Rock of Festimed (UK & ROI). Dave's address will be followed by a panel session featuring Irish and international event industry professionals focusing on medical provision at events.

This is the 3rd in a seminar series for people involved in events, curated by the Team at Safe Events.

The Details

This event will be held in Wood Quay Venue in Dublin city centre.

We will kick off at 10am and will be finished by 1pm.

Similarly to the first Talking Shop event, we will leave a good amount of time for the panel session, which will include scope for questions and input from attendees.


The Speaker

Dave Rock is an experienced Event Medical Controller, having filled this role at events in the UK and Ireland for many years and is one of the founders of Festimed.

Having planned and delivered medical cover for everything from the Dublin Marathon, to the Isle of Wight Festival, from Dublin Pride to Bestival, from Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann to Common People and many more, Dave is vastly experienced in his field.

Dave's address will look at some specific questions and topics around

  1. Risk Assessments

  2. Appropriate medical cover

  3. Who decides what cover level you need?

You will come away with a much better understand of how you can establish what medical cover you need for your event, who can help you do so and how best to ensure you and your attendees are covered.


The Panel

After his address, Dave will join the other panel members for a session that will look to develop on the theme and the topics introduced by Dave. There will be an opportunity here for attendees to put questions to the panel.
