Additional Information
Note: This event is intended to be for people who are creating tabletop games (TTRPGs, boardgames, minis games), rather than for general fans of such games.
The Event
As this is an unconference, the content of the event will be decided by the attendees at the beginning of the day. I'll provide some big post-it notes, and map out a rough outline of spaces and time slots on a wall. Anyone who wants to suggest a discussion or activity can write it on a post-it note and claim a time on the wall. Attendees can then see what takes their fancy.
Folks are welcome to bring compact and short games to play with others. These could be good 'background' activities for getting to know new people at the event – which is a perfectly valid thing to suggest for the schedule.
This event is not being run for profit and it'll be pretty basic in essentials – a home-brew event, if you like.
The Venue
The Doreen Bazell Hall is a simple community hall with a kitchenette, a decent number of tables and chairs, and a small garden out the back.
It should be wheelchair accessible, and contains no stairs.
The venue has a kitchenette with basic equipment, but please arrange/bring your own lunch and snacks!
The hall is only a five-minute walk from St Pancras station, and I'll try to ensure there's a gap in the schedule at 1ish for folks to go get food then if they need to.
Code of Conduct / Safe Space Policy
You can read a copy of the event's safe space / code of conduct policy here.
The Organiser
This event is being organised by Sarah Cole from Patchwork Fez Games, because she's fed up of trying to meet and chat with other game-makers at conventions when we're all busy and knackered. She imagines it'd be nice to chat at a normal volume, and swap notes on what we're all up to.
