STC Webinar #16 - Digital Manufacturing: Trending or Transforming?

Please join this webinar at 11.00am.

This webinar will be hosted by Dolores Sanders, co-founder and Director of Strategy at our STC member company, Total Control Pro.

The appetite for digital transformation in manufacturing is stronger now than ever. Although some of the recent changes seen in digitising operational processes have been made out of necessity, are they to become the foundation that brings about long term change to our manufacturing?

This event will highlight some of the quick wins for digital manufacturing over the last few months and explores what this might mean for the future.

TotalControlPro™ chair this discussion bringing the latest research from the Digital Manufacturing on a Shoestring from the Institute for Manufacturing at the University of Cambridge, The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council and the University of Nottingham. As well as sharing some inspirational case studies from manufacturers who have recently taken steps to digitise effectively over the last few months, including John Lewis Manufacturing.

To highlight some illustrative recent projects, we are also pleased to welcome:

Sam Thiara from MCS Controls systems, a UK independent system integrator that helps manufacturers improve business performance through automation, controls and industrial IoT. Sam will be talk about how to kickstart a digital transformation initiative and suggest practical solutions to support continuous improvement. He will also highlight the importance of benchmarking to demonstrate ROI and of integrating real-time manufacturing data into MES systems.

Niamh Allen and Mark Sweeney from IoT Horizons, IoT and digital transformation specialists. They will focus on IoT within digital transformation and highlight the importance of focussing on the voice of the customer over and above the product sales messages.

Marcus Trofimov, founder ofSilverstone Composites and fellow STC member, will join us to share his experience of digitising manufacturing operations.

Please join us for this event to hear the latest thinking and to share your ideas and questions with like-minded peers from across the cluster.
