Sam Stephens, Director – TBAT Innovation Ltd
After establishing TBAT in 2002 as a consultancy catering to the SME sector, Sam led the company's evolution into the innovation-centric enterprise it is today. TBAT now specialises in supporting companies throughout the entire new product and process innovation cycle. Sam began his career as a graduate and manufacturing engineer at Rolls-Royce Aerospace before transitioning to Rolls Royce and Associates as a Development and Project Engineer. Currently, Sam heads up the Business Development and R&D Tax Credits side of the business.
Esther Lawrence, Senior Business Development Manager – TBAT Innovation Ltd
Esther joined TBAT in 2021, and has spent over 20 years working within IT and electronics manufacturing and distribution helping to take products and services to market. She now utilises those skills to help start-up and scale-up companies at the start of their journey gain funding through R&D innovation grants and incentives to develop and innovate their new technologies and services.
James Davis, Director – Rocking Horse Group
James joined Kleinwort Benson Private Bank immediately after university and worked in the portfolio management team where he focused on High-Net-Worth clients. In 2004, he joined Macquarie Group for nearly ten years as an Institutional Account Manager concentrating on clients with Australian equity exposure in both Sydney and London. James returned to the asset management industry in March 2014 by joining THS Partners that was acquired by GAM in 2016. James joined Rocking Horse as Co-Founder and Director in 2019.
Rob Fabbro, Sales & Origination – Rocking Horse Group
Rob has over 25 years’ experience in global financial markets, holding senior leadership positions in London, Hong Kong, and Melbourne. As an Executive Director of the Macquarie Group, he was Head of Cash Equity and ECM Distribution for all country products within the UK/Euro region and Head of Institutional/Corporate Relationship Management in Hong Kong. In Melbourne he was Head of Private Wealth for a boutique wealth adviser to innovators and entrepreneurs, he joined Rocking Horse in 2022.
