Sustainability Strategies

Our next Design, Simulation & Metrology Special Interest Group Event will be looking at Sustainability Strategies.

  • What can companies, large or small, do to meet the government sustainability targets?

Hexagon, Waitrose and JRM Group will host tables and will lead discussions with a number of SMEs in order to uncover new solutions and partnership opportunities for further collaboration. There will be different discussion groups for you to join, enabling you to contribute and take away valuable insights on today’s key challenges around sustainability strategies, best practices, and new solutions. You can find out about some of the specific areas for discussion below.

  • Hexagon MI would like to engage with the wider manufacturing & technology communities to explore what does a proportionate Sustainability plan and activity look like for each type of business in the UK.
  • Waitrose would like to engage with the wider manufacturing & technology communities to explore how other sectors technology and innovation could help to decarbonise the wider community. Specifically looking at cost reduction and volumising production to enable wider roll out. How can we mobilise the technology and innovation learned in Waitrose to other sectors and SMEs and it more accessible to smaller organisations.
  • Bioregional would like to engage with the wider manufacturing & technology communities to explore how to accelerate modal shift towards a low-carbon and affordable transport infrastructure for the UK that enables healthy and sustainable living and working.
  • STC is located in the heart of UK motorsport. JRM Advanced Engineering would like to engage with the wider manufacturing & technology communities to explore how historically motorsport-centric companies can support others with the acceleration of new low carbon technologies.

The event will take place between 9:00 and 13:30 followed by a networking lunch and a tour at the Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence facility at Milton Keynes. Please note that this is an in-person event only.

There are limited spaces and tickets are available on a first come, first served basis.
