Webinar: Demystifying Apprenticeships, Buckinghamshire Business First

There has never been a better time to take on an apprentice. Apprentices can help any business – big or small, to solve recruitment and staffing issues, and build value into their organisation.

This is an online webinar, supported by Hexagon and in conjunction with Buckinghamshire Business First for businesses in the Silverstone Technology Cluster(STC) or on Silverstone Park.

In this interactive online workshop, we will:·

•    Demystify the apprenticeship process·   
•    Explore the range of apprenticeship programmes available·
•    Examine the funding available to support businesses

The session will be led by Mary Cloake, Skills Adviser at Buckinghamshire Business First.  Mary has many years’ experience of working in recruitment, HR and advising young people on career options, including apprenticeships.

• How to recruit the right apprentice?  
• What is involved in managing an apprentice – apprenticeship standards, training and assessment?
• How to gain access to government funding and incentives for apprenticeships?
• How to find an approved apprenticeship training provider.

Who is this workshop aimed at? This workshop is aimed at business owners and senior managers in the STC or on Silverstone Park, who may be considering apprenticeships as a way of recruiting new talent and securing the future of their business.This event is supported by Skill Up Bucks, a program designed to help SME businesses in Buckinghamshire identify and nurture future talent by creating opportunities for people aged 17+ to meet and interact with employers. The programme is funded by the European Social Fund and the Department for Work and Pensions.
