The ACMI 4.0 programme is an ERDF project that’s helping SME manufactuers embrace Industry 4.0 with:

• a 12 hour fully-funded expert  consultation to assess their readiness for Industry 4.0.  
• a capital grants fund to support the  purchase of new equipment.

Luqman Abdullah is one of the advisors working on the project and has been travelling across the country helping SME manufacturers prepare for Industry. 4.0.

Digitalisation might be the key word, but an ACMI 4.0 assessment benchmarks performance across the business and its supply chain to identify performance improvements that can be made online and offline.

The assessment also help SMEs deepen their understanding of Industry 4.0 and how it can be used to greatest effect in their business, identifying the technologies that will have the biggest impact on performance in line with their goals.

The programme is open to SME manufacturers in England at any stage of digitisation. Luqman will share the stories of some of the companies that have undergone an assessment and how it’s changed their performance. He’ll also be discussing the challenges SMEs need to address to make the most of Industry 4.0, and the simple, sometimes overlooked, actions that could make a big difference to performance.
