Getting Ready for an Electric World

Join us on September 26th for a fascinating look at some of the emerging technologies in our increasingly electrified world.

Our fantastic line-up of speakers includes Dr. Paul Faithfull of Potenza Technologies, who will share with us some of the clever solutions deployed in the design and simulation of batteries for aerospace and personal drone applications.

In addition, Daniel Henbest, founder of Intelligent Power Generation, will divulge their latest innovations for static energy generation utilising ceramic turbines, a flameless combustor and a heat regenerator to produce a clean and highly efficient power source.

Also joining us is Coventry University’s Professor Trevor Toman, who will share with us how to effectively overcome the challenges of accurate battery measurement.

Looking ahead at what is to come, we have an expert from Birmingham University’s Centre for Innovation in Advanced Measurement joining us to talk about advanced in quantum technology, including next generation sensors and what it will mean going forward.

We are also delighted to welcome Marcos Kauffman from the Institute for Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering who will highlight some of the digital technologies in use for battery building including concurrent engineering and closed loop measurement to aid design for manufacture.

Last but not least, cybersecurity experts CYSIAM will highlight the potential of, and issues with, the connected supply chain, IoT and Autonomous Algorithms we will soon all rely on in our workplace.

As always, the event, kindly hosted by STC Founding Member Barclays at their Cranfield Eagle Lab, will feature plenty of time for Q&A, discussion and networking with peers. Register today for what is sure to be a fascinating event!
