Digital & Advanced Manufacturing Technology Showcase

Do you work in the Digital and Advanced Manufacturing sectors and are interested in finding out the latest technologies, challenges and issues? Join us for an exclusive networking event organised by our Digital & Advanced Manufacturing special interest group.

A great chance to hear a strategic overview of the current state of affairs in the industry from key national organisations. We welcome Charlotte Horobin from MakeUK who will provide their latest reading of how the sector is perceiving such topical issues as 4IR, skills and sustainability, in particular, looking at leadership, productivity and wellbeing issues. Dan Brooks from the National Physical Laboratory, will also share case studies highlighting why innovation and collaboration are so important.

The Knowledge Transfer Network will highlight some great funded opportunities for business development support. Find out how you can take advantage of a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTPs) to create dynamic connections between your business and the UK’s world-class knowledge base to deliver strategic innovation projects. Also, if you are interested in developing your management capability, don’t miss hearing about their Management KTPs (MKTPs). This programme creates a 3-way partnership between your company, a team of academic experts and a skilled graduate to drive effectiveness through better management practices.

This event will also be showcasing the exciting range of digital and advanced manufacturing technology developing in our cluster. Companies have the chance to present their latest innovations to an audience of peers and interested parties. Each company will have a small display and the opportunity to do a 60-second pitch during the presentation sessions, to highlight their latest developments.

If you would like to share ‘who you are and what you do’ in a brief spotlight presentation (1 minute), please contact Jackie Affleck by 14th February.

Display and pitch opportunities (Limited places available on first come, first served basis): STC Members: Free Non-members: £150 + VAT

The day will feature plenty of opportunities to network, visit the displays and engage with the companies present, including a speed-networking session to make sure you don’t miss anyone.
