Shortcuts User Group meetup at WWDC’24 in San Jose (and Elgato giveaway)

It’s time for the second-ever Shortcuts User Group meetup, this time in San Jose the day after Apple’s WWDC – and discussion of everything Apple Intelligence and App Intents.

Location

We’ll be meeting at either SoFA Market in San Jose (right next door to The California Theatre), or Academic Coffee – either way, you can park at the Valley Title - Parking lot at 300 S First St, San Jose, CA 95113.

The back patio at SoFA Market is available to rent from 3-5pm, but I have not yet heard back from the venue – we can still use the space first-come-first-serve, but won't be guaranteed a private space.

Lines for The Talk Show at The California theater usually start up to an hour before doors open, so the event will not be officially booked after 5pm – but the space is still publicly-available afterwards.

If for any reason that location presents an issue, we can instead meet at Academic Coffee starting at 2pm instead until they close at 4pm.

Ticket Information

Tickets are free, but please do not take one unless you are in the San Francisco Bay Area and plan to attend the event.

The SoFA Market patio technically holds 25-40, but there is space in the marketplace for other seating as well – I’ve made unlimited tickets available, so please show up regardless of Back Patio availability as people will likely filter in and out!

You only need 1 ticket – and neither is exclusive to the space, I am just trying to communicate physical venue capacity!

If we end up at Academic Coffee, seating will be somewhat limited, but their patio extends into an open area – the Core Coffee meetup was here at WWDC’23 and was packed but bustling with folks standing nearby, so there's not a limit per se.

In general, I won’t be checking tickets – please use this to register your attendance!
