Ticket Pricing Philosophy

SciPy uses a community-supported pricing model. Ticket prices are set to help ensure that people can attend given the resources available to them. If you are eligible for a discounted ticket but are able to purchase a standard ticket, we encourage you to do so. Your support helps make the conference more accessible to others.

Standard

For attendees whose registration is paid for by an employer, institution, or grant. This ticket supports the full cost of producing the SciPy conference and helps keep registration accessible for students and self-funded community members. Intended for industry professionals, faculty, staff, and others with access to professional development funding.

Academic

For academic attendees including faculty, researchers, postdocs, and academic staff paying personally or with limited institutional support. Academic tickets are offered at a reduced rate to encourage broad participation from the research and education community.

Student

For currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate students at an accredited institution. A valid student ID may be required at check-in.

Online | Online tickets will be released at a later date.

Provides access to the virtual experience of the main conference (July 15–17). Online tickets include access to:

  • Live-streamed talks, keynotes, and lightning talks
  • Conference Slack and online networking
  • Special programming for online attendees

Please note: Tutorials and sprints are not available virtually. Online attendees can participate live by asking questions through the conference Slack.

Support SciPy Financial Aid

SciPy is a community-run conference, and financial aid helps ensure that students, researchers, and community members from around the world can participate. Due to budget constraints this year, our financial aid resources are limited. If you’re able, please consider adding an optional donation to your registration to help expand access to SciPy 2026. Every contribution directly supports attendee participation.
