How does it work?
1. Booking your item is essential. Register one item per ticket and
give us as much information as possible - what the item is and what's wrong
with it. Just one item per person, no large electricals such as microwaves or
washing machines. Bring all power adaptors and any sundries that may be needed
to conduct the repair e.g. switches.
2. You will be sent an appointment 24 hours before the event. This will be for a timed slot between 2pm and 4.30pm. You will also be asked to come along 15 mins before that time to ensure you can register.
3. Stay with your item and your Fixer volunteer will show you how to fix your item! There is no guarantee your item will be fixed, and if it will take a long time, we will show you how to finish it at home.
4. Your repair is free. Donations are welcome to help cover our costs, e.g. insurance and room hire. You can pay cash in donation jars or by card payment on the day to say 'thank you' to your Fixer.
5. There will be tea and coffee and cakes available at a very reasonable price. Cash or payment cards are accepted.
