Repair Cafe Volunteering - an introduction
Join our short information session for anyone interested in finding out more about Repair Cafes in Northern Ireland and different opportunities to get involved.
By helping people get their things mended, Repair Cafes share skills, build community, save people money and cut waste. We would love to welcome you to our team.
Repair cafes are locally-rooted and volunteer-powered. They need organisers, bakers and storytellers as well as people with repair skills. Most groups hold events monthly or less often, and there is no requirement to come every time. Volunteers love the sense of community, teamwork and feeling of accomplishment when something is fixed. One recently said: “I believe it is the best Saturday morning anyone can have."
Come and hear more from current repair cafes volunteers and organisers, find out how you can get involved, and the difference we are making together. Get your questions answered and we'll connect you with repair cafes in your area so you can take the next step if it sounds like the right opportunity for you.
