Global Code Retreat with Remote Hack

A Code Retreat is a day-long, intensive practice event, focusing on the fundamentals of software development and design. Developers can disconnect from constraints like time and feature pressure, and just focus on the craft of programming. You don't have to ship anything. Just practice.

You will be guided through the day by a facilitator. At the beginning of the day we'll explain all the details! After the event, you'll have learned about pair programming and test-driven development, had a chance to practice it in a friendly environment.

Saturday November the 7th is Global Code Retreat Day, and we're hosting this event to fit (roughly) UK times.

We'll meet at 9:30am and have a light-hearted day with 4 pairing sessions. After each session we'll come back together, do a short retro and have a break to chat, stretch our legs and make sure we're comfortable.

You don't need to have pair-programmed or done test-driven development before. We'll cover the basics at the beginning of the day and we're on-hand throughout to help.

Like all our events, you'll need to agree to abide by our Code of Conduct to attend.
