Christ asks us to be his ambassadors in our everyday lives. He gives us the privilege and responsibility of carrying both his message and his very self into the world.

One role of the pastor is to equip congregants to live into this privilege of bearing Christ into the world. This role grows increasingly complex and increasingly important as our culture digs deeper into diverging ideological trends. What is the role of the church in today's pluralistic and often turbulent context? How do we champion the rights of all people to follow their chosen ideologies, yet still stand for the enduring truth of the Christian Gospel? As we speak in the public square—and teach our congregants to do the same—how can we expect to be heard amidst the din?
