The Rapha Women’s 100 is a display of collective spirit amongst women cyclists around the world. Since its inception, in 2013, the Women’s 100 has inspired women around the world, to come together to ride 100km all on the same day. Read on to RSVP for a ride.
This ride will loop you round the scenic Agsu district which sits between the Great Caucasus and the plain of Shirvan. The ride takes in two notable climbs; firstly from Munganli to Qiratan (ca. 450m) at the start of the ride and then from Agsu back up to Munganli (ca. 700m) at the end of the ride. The later is used on the Tour of Azerbaijan. There will be options to stop and refuel, as well as, a support vehicle carrying extra water, drinks, snacks, spares and tools for any minor mechanical issues. The aim will be to average 20-22km/hr (plase note that the big climbs will reduce the overall ave. speed significantly!) and we will regroup at the top of any climb. Riders should have had some experience of riding in a group, have a good working road bike and clothing suitable for the ride. This will be a challenging route but you will be supported all the way. Transportation from and to Baku will be arranged so there may be a small contribution to make to cover the cost (details to be announced later). For now, you can find the route here and expect the ride to begin at 7:00am.
