RCC Hageland Season Ender

The RCC Hageland Season Ender is the final big ride of the season, exclusively for RCC members. This event is created together with Yorit Kluitman, so you know you are in for a treat. Your season is only completed after you fulfil this final one-day challenge. Just before the winter kicks in we test you one final time on this all-day adventure across beautiful terrain. End your season with a bang!

HAGELAND
In the beautiful and historic region of the Hageland we will travel past beautiful landscapes, castles, winding roads, over wooded hills and along vast fields. We seek out the roads less travelled and discover the hidden gems.

THE ROUTES
For the RCC Season Ender we will have two routes, one of approximately 130km and one of approximately 180km, one a bit more challenging than the other, however both equally beautiful. The shorter route is more accessible to riders that are new to longer distances, but do want to challenge themselves. The long route is a proper challenge where plenty of climbing meters lurk around.

For both routes there will be a checkpoint, including a feed station. At the checkpoint and at the finish you will receive a token for completing the route and at the same time it's a nice memorabilia of the challenge. The route will be revealed in the week before the ride.

RIDE LEADERS
You wil be able to join the ride individually or together with your mates based on the GPS route we will provide. In case you do not have a GPS system or when you prefer to ride in a group with similar levelled riders we also have the possibility to join one of our ride leaders. Will will create different groups with different levels per route, each lead by a ride leader.

RULES
The RCC Hageland Season Ender is only for RCC members, only limited spots (20) open to non members. The ride is unsupported, however there will be a feed stop. You are responsible for navigation and keeping yourself going. Minimum kit should include two tubes, multi-tool, pump, patch kit, and a masterlink. We highly recommend spare kit and nutrition.

STRAVA CHALLENGES
During the route we have multiple challenges awaiting you. The fastest time by a man and a woman overall per route, climbing challenges and other segment challenges. The winners are based on Strava and will receive a prize.

ENTRY COST
Entry cost is €10 per person. At the start we provide last minute nutrition, water and coffee and during the challenge there will be a food stop. As the Hageland is known for it's beer, we’ll make sure a cold beer will be awaiting you at the finish.

Once your application has been accepted, Rapha will be in touch to collect the entry fee. We will supply a payment link to whom signed up.

The closing date for applications is Friday September 30.
