Rapha Rideleader Ride - Nijmegen's Finest

This ride is hosted and led by Rapha Rideleader Bram de Vrind (De Fietsjournalist).

IMPORTANT: START LOCATION CHANGED. NEW START LOCATION: Bolwerk, Sint Janssingel 25, 5211 DA 's-Hertogenbosch. Finish will be at Da Silva Beans & Leafs at Tramkade 26 in Den Bosch.

The epic 160 km route takes you from Den Bosch over the top 10 climbs around Nijmegen as listed on the website Fietssport magazine! We gather at Bolwerk for pre ride coffee. There will be two or three groups: 28-30-32 km/h average.

We head out to the east through polders and over dykes hopefully with some nice tailwind. From Molenhoek you enter the hill zone, with one loop with big views from Klein Amerika and another around the Oude Holleweg, the hardest climb of The Netherlands outside Limburg.

For the fanatics there are two times segments: Oude Kleefsebaan (1,8 km/max 6%) and Beekmandalseweg (0,4 km, max 11%). Fastest climbers (male/female) will be rewarded wit a price, as well as a rider that stood out in a special way.

Coffee stop will be after 90 kms at cycling cafe De Heksendans. After tackling the wonderful Zevenheuvelenweg with its seven hills you head back west over the Hatertse Vennen to enter Brabant a the Maas bridge of Grave. After enjoying some quiet Brabant country roads it's time for prize ceremony and maybe some recovery drinks back at Da Silva on the Tramkade.
