#Festive500 - Leiden Fat Burner - Ride Leader Rides
Winter is when we lay the foundations for a great new cycling season. This ride will help you to do just that, while also bringing you one step further in completing your Festive500 Challenge.
We will meet up at Raas Bikes, in the heart of historic Leiden. After a coffee we will head out for a social / endurance ride following the canals, lakes, villages and farmroads of the ‘Groene Hart’ Location: Raas Bikes, Middelweg 30, Leiden Meet up: 10:00 Roll Out: 10:30 Pace: 28 km/h, social ride / no drop policy.
Raas Bikes is located at Middelweg 30, 2312 KJ Leiden, on a five-minute bike ride from Leiden Centraal Station. Parking is just around the corner at Kaasmarkt or Parkeergarage Haarlemmerstraat.

Winter conditions can ask some flexibility to keep it fun and safe. Just like the Giro ditching the Gavia in case of snowfall, we will ride a modified version of the route if the weather asks for it:
6’C and no rain → 100 km <6’C and possible rain → 80 km <6’C and some showers→ 70km
Please note that in case of extreme weather conditions (such as freezing rain, snow or ice on the roads) the ride will be cancelled.
