Rapha Archive Store 100 Miler (ish) - Tour De Beer

Tour De Beer

According to Wikipedia, Beer is the world's oldest and most widely consumed alcoholic beverage... it's also an amazing little fishing village on the Jurassic coast in Devon.

The Tour De Beer is longer than our normal outing and is aimed at those who are looking to push their boundaries whilst staying within the boundaries we have created with the Archive Store social rides.

We will be rolling out of Kilver at 07:30 and heading down towards Crewkerne for our first rest stop at approximately 50KM. Once primed on Espresso we will be making a cheeky stop in Lyme Regis at our favourite bakery who make the most incredible Gazillionaire shortbread, for those who know the area and those who don't, it really is worth the climb back out. Following the brief stop in Lyme we will follow the coast through to Beer, where if we are lucky, we will be able to roll onto the mats right on the beach.

After our main stop of the day we will head away from the coast through the Blackdown Hills. 20KMs of challenging hills will be regularly rewarded with breathtaking scenery and some exhilarating downhill stretches. From there we will be rolling into The Lemon Tree Cafe for our last refuel stop of the day.

The final part of the ride will see us rolling through some familiar lanes on the Somerset levels before the gentle climb back to Kilver.
