Cake and Camelot - February Social Ride

Jack will be leading this circular route to South Cadbury, famous as the location of the hill fort of Cadbury Castle, thought by some to be King Arthur's Camelot!

The ride is a reasonably lumpy 70km circular route starting at Kilver Court. We will stop for cake and coffee at the very tiny (but very excellent) Chapel Cross Tea Room, roughly 40km from the start. We will then head North, following quiet country lanes on the return journey to Shepton Mallet. It is Jack's belief that any winter ride in excess of 50km should incorporate at least two opportunities to purchase cake. With this in mind we will be travelling home via the Evercreech bakery, an excellent opportunity for those with a very sweet tooth to collect some caramel shortbread. After the bakery we will tackle the last climb of the day, Maesdown Hill.

This will be the last ride that Jack leads from the Rapha Archive store, He is moving on to pastures new so come along and wish him all the best.
