What is Python Asia?

PythonAsia is the biggest gathering of Python enthusiasts in Asia, bringing together developers, students, educators, researchers, and industry leaders to learn, connect, and grow as one community.

Formerly known as PyCon APAC, the event has been hosted in countries like Singapore, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines. Starting 2026, it proudly takes on its new name, PythonAsia, co-organized with the Python Asia Organization (PAO), the regional group supporting Python communities across East and Southeast Asia.

This year, PythonAsia 2026 returns to the Philippines with the theme “Kalinga”, a Filipino word that means care and compassion. It’s about the warmth that connects us, the trust that helps us grow, and the gratitude that inspires us to give back.

Across three exciting days, you’ll experience inspiring talks, hands-on workshops, lightning sessions, community gatherings, and open-source sprints, all designed to spark ideas, build friendships, and celebrate what makes the Python community truly special.

Whether you’re just starting your Python journey or you’ve been contributing for years, PythonAsia 2026 is your chance to learn, share, and feel the PyCon magic that unites us all.

Why Palayok? 

The palayok, a traditional Filipino clay pot, symbolizes warmth, nourishment, and community, the heart of kalinga. Just like how a shared meal brings people together, PythonAsia is a place where we gather to share knowledge, stories, and care that keep our community growing strong.
