In the API The Docs podcast, Laura Vass hosts documentarians and other practitioners from all across the API world to discuss the latest topics, new learnings and best practices around API documentation and developer portals.
This time Laura welcomes Byrne Reese from RingCentral. Byrne is a veteran developer, product manager and developer platform specialist, who has been a Product Manager at RingCentral for the past 6 ½ years.
RingCentral Developers won the Best Community Outreach and Support award at the DevPortal Awards in 2022 and 2023. Laura and Byrne will discuss the strategies and practices leading to this achievement, and they will also dive deep in the Developer Pyramid methodology which helped the RingCentral team build and improve upon their developer program.
The interview will also touch upon some of the most recent tools and developer products RingCentral is building, like the Workflow Builder, and Byrne will share his love for mkdocs and documentation-led development.

The DevPortal Awards celebrates the achievements of developer portals and the teams behind them. It seeks the most outstanding solutions with the help of experienced jurors, who are volunteers and have a long experience with API programs, developer portals and API documentation.
